Thunder Heroes Arcade
0The game utilizes a 4 button control scheme: punch, kick, jump and special. Pressing all three will result in a special attack that, like pretty much all of Thunder Heroes’ fore-bearers, will drain a bit of you character’s health, not raccomanded to use.
Where Thunder Heroes starts to separate itself from the pack is in the fluidity of its action. Punches and kicks can be linked multiple times and generate combos. Each of the 4 initial characters have distinct attacks, combo and abilies (like double jump). When you clear the first stage, new heroes will be added to the roster.
There are items in the game like, health power-ups, mainly melee like pipes and swords and throwable weapons that can be picked up and used against foes, like knives and grenades that can be lobbed at baddies.
There are also different colored orbs, representing the elements, that randomly drop when killing an that can be picked up as well.
These get added to a meter that is positioned below your character’s health, this is the "special magic attack" of the game, every character has is own unique elenents which enhances the special attack power.
There also green orbs with a cross in it, this will recover your life, there two types of this, small one's recover a good chunk of health, big ones fully heal.
The game has 6 stages with the last being just a boss rush. Enemies have less health in general that Gaia Crusaders. It also shorter make the pace of the game faster and easier to swallow over the original one.
What surprise about this version is that a the story is nonexistent, excluding two bad transled jpg at the beginning, no credits and no dialogues whatsoever.
The game shines a lot in local multiplayer, with you and partner comboing the enemies for a long time and do the most crazy action moves.
