Tiamat - Super Mario Fantasy Ep. 36

Day 39
We reached the evil being Tiamat! It was a four-headed dragon that could use lightning magic. Thankfully, I managed to use magic to make Mario faster, but that lightning...it got me pretty good. Actually, it got all of us pretty good, but Peach was still there to bring us back up with her healing magic.
I finally got to use a new spell that summoned a huge fireball! It was AWESOME! But, what actually took down Tiamat was Mario. While Tiamat was still recovering from my attack, Luigi dealt one more blow and Mario finished it off.
The last egg is lit and we were teleported right outside Mirage Tower. The airship was still waiting for us.
We went back to Crescent Lake to rest up. I spoke to Lukahn and the other sages. They told me that we had to travel back in time 2,000 years to stop the source of the evil. I asked why since we already beat all the fiends today. Lukahn said that they will come back if we don't stop the evil. Plus, we won't be able to go home.
I asked Lukahn that if we were to stop the source of the evil 2,000 years in the past, would we be sent back home and to our own time? Lukahn said he was positive we would be back home once all the evil has been eradicated. I asked him how we'd be able to get to the past. Lukahn said our answer will be found in the Temple of Chaos...where we found Bowser.
I told the others what I found out. Mario thinks we should head out now, but Luigi and Peach insist that we take some time to prepare first. They've got a point, as much as I'd love to go home right now, we can't go as we are.
Luigi told us that he found adamant while we were in the Flying Fortress. We could take it to the monty mole blacksmith! We stopped at Mt. Monty and the blacksmith was so happy.
He made quite the sword, but the only person who could wield it was Mario. The sword was really heavy to all of us except for Mario. It's called Excalibur. Some name.
Anyways, we stocked up some more at Musha, the closest town to the Temple of Chaos.
We were getting ready for the journey when I noticed Peach sitting near the edge of town. I asked her what was wrong and she said that while she's excited to go home, she doesn't know what's going to happen to her magic abilities, or the items she got. I didn't think about that. Will we go back to only being able to wield the abilities we had before? Probably.
I know I'll miss being able to wield fire, ice, and lightning without powerups. We've been in this world for so long. I asked Peach if she thinks we'll be able to come back. Peach isn't sure, but she hopes so. I want to say we will, but something within me is saying that once we defeat this evil...we'll never come back here again.
