I can't hide my thoughts from Luigi. He could tell immediately that I was hesitant. Luigi asked me what was wrong as we traveled through the Temple of Chaos. I admitted that I wasn't sure if I wanted to go home. Sure, I miss my kingdom and I worry about my people but...what about this world? Will it be safe when we go home?
Luigi is confident that the world will be safe and if it were in danger again, we'd be called back. I mean...he's not wrong, but still. I don't know if I'm ready to go home yet. Luigi told me that we don't have a choice. We have to defeat this evil or this world will be destroyed. I can't have that. I hate that Luigi's right. It has to be done. Luigi is also hesitant about leaving this world since he won't be able to use proper magic anymore, but he knows that he can't stay here. I think Mario and Peach feel the same way. We have to keep going.
The eggs lit up around the altar and a portal appeared, taking us 2,000 years into the past. The evil presence here was very strong. We pushed through countless enemies and tried our best to get to the bottom floor where the evil was strongest.
