Tidewater Planets are another sea-based planet specific to Frackin Universe. They are very much like Oceanic Planets -- only rockier and more dangerous. The Dark Water that makes up most of the planet can cause damage, as well as the hail storms. However, so long as you can keep your NPCs from taking a dip, it should be fine to colonize.
There are also treasure troves of various Coral here, so they are more than worth a visit!
