WASTELAND WORLDS - Starbound: Frackin Universe Mod
12Time to take a look at some post-apocalyptic worlds! Let’s visit some Wasteland Planets!
These shells of industrialized worlds are characterized by their forlorn, ominous post-urban backgrounds, hollowed and crumbling buildings, dangerous weather, and a plethora of robot-based “fauna”. Many of these planets have some of the most dangerous weather types, such as Poison Gas (though the Anti-Gravity rain can be pretty fun to witness), so be prepared with the proper EPPs and augments before you get here!
They’re also inhabited by bandits, with one of the biggest “civilizations” being the unfriendly Human Prison, so don’t come here if you want to make good with the locals. There are, however, caches of higher-tiered ores, and treasure chests abound. Plus, grabbing up the rusted furniture can still bring you a few pixels if you need them.
Can you colonize this world? I don’t know about you, but I’m not that optimistic -- especially when Poison Gas can kill NPCs and Ash Storms leave you constantly shoveling yourself out of and ash-valanche. Save the colonizing to less dangerous planets, and leaving the Wastelands for treasure hunting!
