LAVA (MAGMA) PLANETS - Starbound: Frackin Universe Mod
13It’s been way too cold here lately, so let’s heat things up by heading to a Lava Planet!
Also known as Magma Worlds, these planets are a variety of Oceanic Planet in which the entire sea is made up of lava. It’s a real game of “the floor is made of lava” here, but if you manage to survive a dip in the biggest puddle of molten rock you’ve ever seen, then caches upon caches oof high-tier ore await you at the bottom! You’ll just have to dig for it.
I’ve also introduced the Fishing mechanic here. We’ll explore the collecting of fish later, but do know there are some very cool fish living down deep in the boiling brew.
As for colonization? Maybe if you have Skelekin or Glitches, or some other race that won’t have much of an issue here. But DO NOT put livestock here! Lava is the only thing that can kill off your Mooshis and Fluffalos. If you’re that hard up for some fried chicken, go hunt some of the birds on a Lush World. It’s a lot less expensive!
