5Having so far survived his first trip out into the Fallow, the Cobra Kid continues his search for a new power source for the folks back home. As we continue to activate the rebreathers that will lead to the next zone, I discover an optional and dangerous cave system that proves to be a pretty good place to loot. Then, it's off to the first real boss, B'Donk, a big flapping flame fish that's made a lot easier by our complete resistance to ground fires. After burying the fish, we reach a whole new area, The Hollow Forest. And we meet a new group of folks here, the Transfigured, who have mutations similar to ours. And speaking of our mutations, we find an upgrade for our exomutation that turns the Cobra Head into the Cobruh Super Strike, making it even more powerful. While this new area proves even more verdant and colorful than the last, the environmental hazards prove to be more deadly than the enemies.
