Now, my prior experiments in the incredibly vague "chibi" category haven't exactly been an unmitigated success, mostly because of just how nonspecific the goal was and the fact that I didn't really have a clear end in mind.

On the other hand, "try drawing an Inkling" instead is a much more achievable goal, what with defined appearance parameters to aim for, even if the particular features are going to vary as wildly for cephalopod-people as those found in the real world.

Fortunately, I'm in no short supply of megalomania... in fact, I've got ego enough for two! ... ... ...which is to say, I have enough self-centrism to supply us with two distinctly separate... "inksonas"... r-right?

... ... ...well, that's it. I'm out of material. Nothing else to laugh, cry, or cringe at. For now.

Coloring is still my bane, and shading remains my nemesis. I'm never actually sure if i want big chunky colors with garishly bright specular illumination to blind the viewer with fake bloom... or something subtler and graduated.

Bad news! I picked the super shiny slimy sea life dragged on land. Your eyes! They burn!

Oh, and backgrounds! Don't even get me started on backgrounds!
