I played the original demo back in October of 2023 and had a good time with it. The developer sent me a free key, and now I'm back to play it again. It's a game that doesn't take long to pick up, and the more you play it the better you become. The better you are, the more fun you have, and it really just sucks you in for multiple playthroughs.
It has great progression, worthy upgrades, and is so fast paced that it's very easy to jump in and lose track of time. Gameplay is very satisfying with a mixture of shooting and smashing enemies with your bat to refill ammo and buy you a second of time to reposition yourself. Boss battles are relatively tame, but still entertaining in their own way.
There are lots of action roguelikes out there, but Time to Strike really stands out.
