Continuing his hunt for the time crystals, Cortez lands in the year 1920 and takes form of Captain Ash, British adventurer and ex-soldier who has ventured deep into Guatemalan jungle in order to find an ancient Aztec temple which supposedly houses a mysterious emerald crystal which is actually eighth time crystal left there by TimeSplitters. However, as he gets the crystal, Ash is intercepted by one of the numerous stone golems raised by the lost tribe guarding the temple and after losing the crystal and being chased into the jungle by the golem, is forced to fight his way back to the temple in order to get it back...
