TimeSplitters: Future Perfect Walkthrough Part 8: You Genius, U-Genix
1Having successfully descended into a secret research complex built below the main U-Genix building, Cortez and Amy Chen continue their search for Jacob Crow, learning that the cult of Brotherhood Of Ultra Science has survived into 21st century and is actively being propagated amongst U-Genix's researchers as elderly Crow is using them to continue his pursuit of eternal life through illegal bio-medical research. To make situation even worse, Cortez and Amy discover that U-Genix's research had horrifying results; Deformed Splitter-human hybrids that broke out of containment and started killing researchers and security forces sent to contain them. While making his way through the mutant-infested facility, Cortez enters the building's core facility where two encrypted terminals are located. As Cortez fails to identify himself, room's security system is triggered. Just then, a wormhole opens with another Cortez jumping out and proceeding to fend off the security railbots while Cortez himself tries to hack one of the terminals. However, it quickly turns out that due to the nature of the terminals' encryption, both terminals need to be hacked simultaneously in order to bypass it. At that point, two more Cortezes jump out of the wormhole with third heading on the second terminal and fourth proceeding to assist second Cortez in handling the room's defense system with original Cortez finding himself jumping through the wormhole multiple times in order to assume role of all four versions of himself in order to effectively hack the terminals and leave the room. After eventually doing so, Cortez reunites with Amy with two proceeding further into the building's core where they find Crow who is being protected by a squadron of autonomous flying robots. After destroying them, Cortez directly confronts Crow about his time travelling abilities only to learn that Crow doesn't have any idea what Cortez is talking about with Cortez, assuming that Crow is only playing dumb, telling him that he visited his younger self in 1994 and gave him a time device. Just then, Crow's younger self appears and gives his older self a time machine with older Crow realizing his role in the time loop with the younger Crow, using the time machine to escape back to 1994 while younger Crow escapes to an unknown time zone. Enraged at losing Crow again, Cortez screams in frustration before Anya points him towards the remains of one of the flying robots destroyed by him and Amy. Noticing the similarity between the robot and R-100 series of autonomous war robots used in Machine Wars during 23rd century, Anya and Cortez realize that Crow was connected to the makers of R-100 series, UltraNet with Anya uncovering that the company's founder, Jack Crown, was actually younger Crow who went further into the future in order to continue his research into immortality, knowing that his older predecessor and U-Genix will eventually be compromised. With the location of UltraNet's main complex known, Cortez prepares to continue his hunt for Crow in war-torn 23rd century...
