I'm not a Loner. My name is not Kruglov. My task is to infiltrate any Factions that I choose, in order to investigate and seize any of the new prototype weapons and ammunition, that have illegally entered the Zone. I have left the Mercenary Faction to join the Loner Faction. I am the Stalker.

Encrypted Diary: The weather was good with clear visibility and Jupiter was alive with mutants in all directions. Soon a few dark clouds rolled in and to the southeast, I watched as two friendly Stalkers arrived from the Red Forest, that I was able to identify as a Loner and Clear Sky. I left the Checkpoint to recruit the Loner. When I got to the road, I saw they had detoured down to the Concrete Bath anomaly and were passing it below.

When I looked up ahead, I saw a squad of Mercenaries coming at me, but I got to them first, killing two and wounding the survivor. I switched to my knife for the surrender, knowing any other weapon might be taken from me. I positioned myself behind the Merc and started the interrogation. Each time I got information from him, I made sure to check my Mini-Map for any Stalkers sneaking up on me. As expected, the Merc jumped up, hit me and took off running. I let him go as he was unarmed.

I took off trying to catch up with the Loner, but he and the Clear Sky soldier were noy in sight. When I went up the embankment, in my haste I ran into an anomaly but fought my way through it and as I faced the main gate to the Jupiter Plant, I was attacked by a pack of rodents. If it wasn't for my shotgun I could have been really hurt. Sadly, I found the rodents had killed the two I was looking for, finding their bodies just meters away.

I felt bad for not saving them in time, as I had spent too long with the surrendering Merc. I returned to my Companions and spread the loot, and soon I was back on the roof as the weather got worse. Another Mercenary squad was spotted where I had just come from. I quickly zapped them.
