Titan Quest II | GTX 1060 | RX 580 | FPS Test & Performance
π₯ Titan Quest 2 β GTX 1060 6GB OC | RX 580 8GB | FPS Test & Performance Benchmark | Unreal Engine 5 | FSR | Frame Generation | 1080p | Low-End GPU | Optimized Settings
The game is built on Unreal Engine 5. I tested it on GPUs that are well below the official minimum requirements (RTX 2070 and RX 6700 XT), just to see how it handles on older hardware.
Right away, I want to point out that both the upscalers and render scale settings appear to be broken. Adjusting the render scale doesn't impact performance or image quality. Even stranger β enabling FSR seems to automatically activate Frame Generation, even when FG is manually turned off in the settings. How did I figure this out? Simple: the framerate with FSR: Native AA is significantly higher than with upscaling disabled (TAA) and render scale set to 100%, even though FSR Native AA is usually more demanding than TAA. That strongly suggests FG is being forced on.
Another important note: endgame content can be much heavier on performance, but since the game is still in early access, thereβs no real endgame available yet to test. Expect potentially worse fps in the final version, especially in late-game zones. Just something to keep in mind. I also intentionally included performance from the main menu, because surprisingly, the fps there is lower than in actual gameplay.
As for performance:
RX 580 struggles badly β framerate drops below 30 fps even in early areas. Using Frame Generation at such low base fps results in a very poor experience, and I wouldnβt call the game playable on this card in its current state.
GTX 1060 6GB OC handles the game significantly better, and early zones feel mostly playable. Still, keep in mind that the lack of endgame testing means things could change drastically.
