There’s no denying that Tony Stark played a massive role in the evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe over the years. But today we’re going to talk about his character arc and why it’s one of the most impressive we’ve ever seen. He couldn’t have been more confident about himself when the first Iron Man movie started, yet over the course of a single film he changed dramatically. The Avengers was a huge game-changer, causing him to seriously doubt himself and his abilities which is how he got into so much trouble during Age of Ultron. His relationship with Pepper Potts definitely helped change him for the better, and mentoring Peter Parker may have helped prepare him to be a father to his daughter, Morgan Stark. Even though his relationship with Steve Rogers wasn’t always the best, the fact that they were able to restart their friendship after what happened during Captain America: Civil War is actually pretty amazing. It’s something his character wouldn’t have been capable of when he first appeared on the big screen.
