Hey everyone, It's beggles here and we're doing the weekly indie game show. So here it, should come in under 5 minutes and you will get to see my top5 indie games releasing this week. A mixture of crazy, quirky, scary and good old fashioned head scratching fun. And to top of it, a game based around a kitchen classic. Let me know which game is your favourites in the comments below. Let's start.
Lumberhill
Some games just look fun to play and lumber hill fits nicely into that category. Lumberhill is a co-operative and multiplayer game that will put you to task chopping down trees and trying to manage a variety of different crazy events that will occur. Expect crazy, hectic and unexpected animals, I mean there's a dinosaur making an appearance for one, and a game that looks to be the style that you will sit down with a few friends and party mode it out. Lots of skins and characters to explore here so keep an eye out for Lumberhill for that gold old fashioned crazy multiplayer fun.
Roguebook
deck building roguelites are pretty big right now, and roguebook takes on this genre both in gameplay and also the title of the game. You're trapped inside a book and need to work your way through what looks very much like a tactical style board utilising card based fighting mechanics. 6 different heroes to choose from at the start, you get to choose 2, and they have a mixture of cards that will give you the chance to work on synergies and creative ways to win fights. I have never been a huge fan of deck building, although I really like the look of the combat here, but those that love working out that strategies in detail could be well served checking out rogue book!
Huntfest
Definitely the most edgy of games on this weeks list, huntfeast is a first person shooting and suvival game that puts you into a haunted forrest, with a shotgun and a dream, and there's lots in here that's going to try and kill you. You do get the chance to play through co-operatively in hunt feast and work through the large number of missions that lead you towards the end goal, taking out the wearwolf before they take out you. I like the idea of a open world map to explore, and i'm hoping the missions are diverse enough to offer a variety of different gameplay styles to enjoy with this one.
Summertime Madness
I've been lucky enough to already play Summertime Madness and it comes highly recommended. A puzzle game set in a beautiful world, even though there's the sombre backdrop of a tortured artist escaping some pretty tortured time of history. You will be working your way through extremely clever puzzles that are each based in a creative world that gives you this refreshing variety of worlds, design styles and music. Be prepared, some are pretty challenging to work out, and the staircase puzzle in particular had me scratching my head for quite a while. I played this one on stream so i'll link the video above if you want to see a bit more gameplay!
Garlic
A classic case of not judging a book by it's cover, or even name, because I didn't expect to be here explaining my hype for a game named garlic. You play the silent hero, a garlic headed being that needs to platform through a retro inspired world that offers more challenge than first meets the eye. A game that no doubt adds in some humour elements as well as perhaps a very unexpected love tale. I'm really enjoying the facial expressions that you will see throughout playing this game and I think it's got some really clever design choices. Platform fans would be well served checking out garlic this week!
