0Here me out,
1) Super Mario Bros:
-this was the first video game I ever owned, and it set the stage for platformers for decades to come. Sure there was good platformer before this, on the Atari 2600, but none of them came close to this masterpiece.
2) Sonic the Hedgehog 2:
-The most iconic of the Sonic games imo. This release was as near a perfect game as you can make. Green Hill Zone was amazing. The levels design and Colors stand out to this day, and who could forget that groovy soundtrack!
3) Resident Evil 2:
- The game that defined the survival horror genre, it was a true masterpiece. It improved on every aspect of the first game, the atmosphere and eerie vibes are unmatched, and it’s still amazing to play!
4) Metal Gear Solid:
- The most advanced and realistic action game at the time of its release, it brought a level of cinematics to gaming that didn’t exist at the time. Who doesn’t move this game?!
5) Tetris:
- the most famous puzzle game of all time. Still played on the regular; I’ve sunk so much time into this game it couldn’t not be on this list.
