A non binary person is a someone who’s gender identity does not fit into the binary spectrum of male or female, this can include gender fluid but not always. Here are some examples of non binary characters in video games!
1.) Life is Strange: Chloe Price
a. Chloe is everyone’s favorite bad kid that makes you fall hard for their fuck authority ways.
b. But did you know that According to the Voice Actress of Chloe Price, Ashley Burch, Chloe is both sexually and gender fluid. Well now you do!
2.) Undertale
a. The main character in Undertale has intentionally ambiguous features and is only referred to with gender neutral pronouns such as “they”. Making them any gender the player chooses them to be.
3.) The Legend of Zelda: Zelda
a. Zelda is well remembered for dressing as Shiek and going by male pronouns in Ocarina of Time. Nintendo has said that Shiek is Zelda cross dressing, which means that even when she is cross dressed she still identifies as female. However many fans choose to head canon that Zelda used magic to make herself a man and identify as a man when disguised as Shiek. Which would make Zelda gender fluid according to their head canons.
4.) Minecraft
a. Notch has gone on record as saying that all the characters in minecraft are genderless. Being agender falls within the non binary spectrum and means they have no gender identity at all.
5.) Boarderlands
a. Zero from Boarderlands is agender as well. They prefer to go by the pronouns “they” and “them”. This has been confirmed by the writers both former and current.
6.) The Elder Scrolls series
a. The Deadric Princes are able to be any gender they want at any time. Most deadric princes choose to be one gender most of the time. But some switch between genders as they choose. Mephala in particular often switches between male or female, depending on what victim they choose to ensnare.
