
Touhou 18: UM - Lunatic No-miss No-active No-equipment (Reimu)
Computer was acting up, so quality is lower than usual.
I wasn't expecting an LNM *this* soon. It was a day 1 thing, but I didn't bother to upload til' now. Lowkey I think the game rides on card RNG - if you get super sexy RNG like me you can just quit the game because you know you're going to kick major butt already. Honestly this run really isn't that good; sure there were some nice gorilla dodges but by and large I got carried by my cards. The cards are:
- Kanako (started with): Lower POC, to get more $
- Saki (started with): Higher DPS from main shot, to end patterns quickly
- Eiki (stage 1): cheat death for $200, helps dismiss careless mistakes
- Takane (stage 2): cheaper purchases, to save $
- Patchouli (stage 3): free bomb, another bomb per completed stage
- Free bomb (stage 4, 5)
My hypothetical strategy was going to be a mix of Eiki and Eirin (free weak deathbombs) with Takane, Patchouli, Kanako, Yachie, etc. Basically "tank" all deaths with cash and bombs. But this setup you see today worked in the end -- Takane to save money, Kanako to get money, Eiki to use the money on accidental deaths, Patchouli to outright skip segments, Saki to finish segments quickly.
Game itself is fun; not the most consistent because of card RNG in the shops but it's defo a fun screw-around game. I still like Michael (her song is unemployment music), and Takane's song is still my favourite Stage 2 boss (close fight tho). Sannyo is as brutal and banging as ever.
Stage 4 is absolutely brutal, you have yellow rice spam, then meme yang survival nonspell, and Misumaru's spells are a serious problem on lunny mode. Her song's great tho; music of dodging balls tbh.
Stage 5 is cool, and I like it. I think Megumu is easier than Misumaru -- her spells need lots of practice, which I did not have at the time of this video, but once you get them down you're generally safe, unless you get trashy movement RNG on spell 2. Her song's so starry and proud and I like it.
BTW Tsukasa's patterns are scary, cant remember but i think i bombed them all this time.
Stage 6... the stage itself is neat, with funky enemy placements to screw you. Final boss is weird tho, lots of puzzle attacks. Also she's like, the CEO of gay, so. Aight. Her song's more "deep" than the previous few final boss songs -- it won't reach out to grab you, and you have to reflect on it yourself in your own terms to be rewarded. But, all the songs have grown on me; there isn't a single one I dislike.

Anyway yeah those are my random thoughts. I'm gonna have to kick myself to draw the new girls -- the new game came out and the only things I drew were Takane (for a collab, see this please https://twitter.com/kappamin/status/1389593880064974854 ), Nitori, and Takane, gg. Kappa madness.
