FINALLY. I FINALLY BEAT THIS STUPID GAME ON LUNATIC. Now I never have to touch this RNG-riddled game ever again. Screw stage 4, screw Sakuya, and ESPECIALLY screw that annoying gremlin of a vampire

I was planning to do this 1CC as Marisa... But I eventually got annoyed by the blinking laser mechanic, and the fact it deals so little damage when not at full power, so I just went with Reimu B, the "boring one". And the one with the difficult Patchouli fight (along with Marisa A). Yaaaaaaaaaaay.

Stage 1 is easy to mess up and restart on. Unlike the newer games, you can't go to the top of the screen and press shift to auto collect all items. Also, fairies spawn all over the place, rarely in groups, so you have to fly around the screen collecting items while praying you don't run into a red bullet like an idiot. Rumia is the easiest stage 1 boss ever though, so once you get past that, you're good.

Something a lot of people don't know about stage 2 is that if you use a bomb on the very first part of the stage, you get a ton of items, and if you've been getting enough points, you're guaranteed to gain a life. This is much easier with Marisa B. Also, if you kill Daiyousei fast enough, the rest of the enemies won't appear until after a few seconds. The only difficult part about Cirno's fight is her first non spell. I heard there's a safespot, but I'm too lazy to figure it out.

Stage 3 is scary, but as long as you know what you're doing, it's not too bad. Don't feel bad if you have to bomb a time or two, though. Meiling isn't too difficult of a boss, but you definitely have to watch out for all her attacks besides her first spell and second non-spell. That final spell is pure RNG.

Stage 4... Is terrible. Even worse than stage 5. The green bullet books, the giant lasers, the blue kunai spam, everything is just awful. Patchouli's difficulty depends on the shot type you're using. I haven't tried it on Lunatic with Marisa A or Reimu A yet, but I do know that Reimu B has a harder time than Marisa B. "Bury in Lake" is the most difficult part.

Stage 5 isn't so bad, it's mostly just bullet spam and simple streaming. Sakuya's midboss fight is pretty difficult, but she gives you a life at the end, so it's worth the trouble. Sakuya as a boss, however, is pretty difficult. Not Shou or Orin levels of difficult, but definitely challenging. I find her boss fight fun, personally. That final spell is just awful though.

Stage 6's opening is fairly difficult, I usually don't have to bomb on it though. But this time, I was too afraid of messing up. Unfortunately, I wasted a life on Sakuya's "eternal meek" spell card. I hate that spell.

Remilia is a very difficult final boss. She has easy attacks in her boss fight like her second and third non-spell. She has fairly difficult attacks like her first non-spell and third spell. And then she has attacks like Scarlet Meister and Scarlet Gensokyo. The stupid thing about her final spell is that every time you're done using a bomb (that deals NO damage, btw,) she releases a new wave of bullets, so bombs have little value.

You could tell how happy I was to beat this game at the end of this video, I was spazzing out on my arrow keys. I hate Remilia now.

In conclusion, if you're going for a lunatic 1CC, if you don't care about stupid amounts of RNG, go ahead and do an EoSD run.
