Here we go guys - IBP is becoming full game now! Long it took to have it released, apparently. Really tough one as per fangames, and overall Touhou games, standards.
Not fully satisfied of the result, but should suffice for now. Until another LNBNC I guess ^^

東方鬼葬剣 ～ Infinite Blade Pavilion is a recent Touhou fangame, released under Kaisendo group. As far as I know, leading programmer is Len - the same guy responsible for games like Phantasm Romance and Phantasmagoria Trues. It is a very fast-paced game, being like much harder than any other fangame so far.

Contains three charas - Reimu, Marisa and Youmu, at your disposal - each with two shot types. Four difficulties, and a ton of new characters coming to the fandom. Classic I guess.
Extra stage coming somewhere in winter, so - stay tuned.

[ SYSTEM ]
System is more or less the one from Mystical Power Plant, but with a twist. Shooting enemies or grazing bullets produces autumn items / leaves. Collecting these gives you levels as seen on the right.
Every each gives you a perk, along with additional bombs and life pieces for each successive level up (or loop on Lv5).

And you keep them until you use a special attack. Thankfully, it doesn't nullifies spellcard bonus. For most of characters, each use consumes two levels.
The attacks vary between charas and shot types - they can cancel bullets, or might give temporary invincibility.

[ OVERALL ]
I must say it is a very fast-paced game, and most of the time you'd rather follow your carefully crafted strategy. Aka, how to get through stages. Without that you can easily lose your resources.
Way tougher than any other fangame so far. But, that's a point actually. It wasn't meant to be your average Touhou fangame, which you can beat in one tonight. It's very challenging. Doing LNBNC alone with character other than ReimuA is tough.
Personally, I have no idea how one would try to get perfect run (LNNN) on it. Good luck, you gonna need it :V

[ MY OPINION? ]
At first it was a bit of love-hate relation, because of its difficulty. But now, I'd say I'm fine with the game. Maybe not the favorite one to be frank, but definitely one of better productions if you want to feel and face a real challenge.
If you're onto such tough stuff - it's definitely for you.
If you like Subterranean Animism - it is for you.
If you always wanted to play Youmu - it is really for you (lol).
But if you haven't answered any of these affirmative - play it anyways! Give it a try, and who knows, maybe you'll fall in love in it? :V
