Playing through Touhou Kikeijuu ~ Wily Beast And Weakest Creature as the Excruciatingly Ordinary Magician herself: Marisa Kirisame. This game is the sequel to Touhou Tenkuushou ~ Hidden Star in Four Seasons as players can in this game can select any of three animal spirits which will affect the player's playstyle. Players can gather Beast Items which upon getting about five of them, different items will spawn which is based on what you gathered.
This game takes Touhou Seirensen ~ Undefined Fantastic Object's gameplay and improves it! Time after the defeat of Okina, animal spirits possess Reimu, Marisa and Youmu! Using the heroines as host bodies, they enter Hell and face off against those that try to conquer the surface world. After a quest through Hell while defeating various foes there, the combined forces of the heroines and the animal spirits encounter an idol goddess named Keiki Haniyasushin. Turns out the animal spirits view Keiki as their primary target and leader of the invasion with the surface world. An epic showdown ensues as usual with victory shining upon the heroines thanks to the animal spirits. But Keiki's defeat just gave someone the opening to invade Hell and the heroines and animal spirits return to fight this new figure. But that's for another time...
