For a little backstory, this was recorded all the way back in April and it was when I was trying to upload every day that month, but it never saw the light of day sadly. The thumbnail was done, part of this very description was covered like the VAs and such, and yeah, you could say this was as dormant as Hong Meiling herself in terms of being asleep for so long. Fitting isn't it! But I don't think I have to worry too much about this being outdated since I don't think there will be a 5th Meiling variant, at least for a while all things considered!

But yeah, coming back to this video, we have all 4 variants of one of my top 5 favourite characters (I don't know if she is 5th, 4th or 3rd anymore), L1, A6, E1 and L80 variants at that! I've never had any regrets going for any of her variants, even with bad luck, and L80 Meiling is especially so cool regardless of whether her kit is good or not in my opinion! But yeah, all these Meiling's are so awesome!

L1 Meiling's voice lines definitely did feel lesser compared to the others, which I realised based on the time lengths. That said, I've grown to really like the 3rd one, Head of the Garden by Nakamura Sakura as it's been the voice I had for her for a while now! The others are fine too, but yeah, number 3 is the one for me!

As for A6 Meiling, I actually use two difference voices for her, Voice 2: Last Fighter Standing's Last Stand by Tachibani Rika on my JP account, whereas on Global, the voice I use is Voice 3: Dozing off During the Day by Machiko! As for which one I prefer the most, it's hard to choose but maybe Voice 3? Not sure sadly.

With E1 Meiling, my go-to one on both versions is Voice 1: Impassable Gatekeeper by Maeda Kaori (not Manda, apologies about that in the video), and I'd say I'm very happy with it! Maybe I'm very very used to it by now, but I'd say I like this voice the most of the three!

And now we have L80 Hong Meiling! On my JP account, I use her Voice 1, which is Blue Qi Gatekeeper by Otsubo Yuka, whereas on Global, I use Voice 3, being Entrusted Silver Knives by Wakayama Shion! I don't know which one to choose, ahhhh this might be difficult! Maybe Voice 3? They are all great!


In terms of who I like most as a character, I'd say maybe, just maybe L80 Meiling? I really don't know for sure, but seeing how she is like a Sakuya simp herself in her Ruins of Memory Story was so fun for me to see, and her BGM is amazing too! A case might be made for all of them, E1 Meiling has the awesome uniform all the other E-Series units have, A6 Meiling has awesome animations, especially her Last Word, L1 Meiling is the classic who started off a different unit with no elements for example, but has some awesome costumes, like the maid one, the Easter one, and of course, the Fantasy Rebirth ones! They are all awesome, and I hope she sleeps well when she dozes off!
