Town of Salem is a browser-based game that features a parody of the Salem Witch Trials. Participants are separated into one of three classifications: Town, Mafia, and Neutral. Within each class, players are assigned a random role, each with their own skills and goals. The objective is to complete those goals. As a member of the Town, the goal is to defeat the Mafia. As a member of the Mafia, the goal is to defeat the Town. The Neutral roles are in it for themselves, and whether they choose to help the Town or Mafia depends on their goals. A game of chaos, deception, and trickery, Town of Salem is guaranteed to provide a unique playing experience for every game.

This arrangement was originally not meant to be performed by a live orchestra. In the very early stages, it was introduced more as a "what if this was possible?" kind of piece, rather than something that was meant to be written. Eventually, it culminated into 1692. This piece encompasses the tension and uncertainty that each round of Town of Salem provides for the player. It begins with a slow version of the main, presented in a melancholy trumpet call. Following a series of disjunct imitations, the piece transitions into the "Night Theme", a soundscape of mystery and growing tension. It leads into the "Main Theme". The theme slows into the "Defeat Theme" with a dramatic section of choir overlapping with the rising melody. Following a battery percussion break, the piece explodes into a refrain of the main theme before ending triumphantly.

The 8-Bit Orchestra was inspired by the University of Maryland Gamer Symphony Orchestra, the first collegiate ensemble dedicated to performing video game music.

8-Bit pieces are arranged by students, conducted by students, and performed by students of the University of Delaware. The group organizes concerts twice a year: at the end of the fall and spring semesters. Starting with a group of around 40, now reaching nearly 60 members from a wide variety of majors, the 8-Bit Orchestra is continuing to grow. Today, we are the largest instrumental music RSO on campus, and have been invited to perform at off-campus events like Minefaire, the Minecraft fan convention.
