Toxic and Leech Seed Damage Stacking (Pokémon Gen I, Game Boy) - A Wild Glitch Appears!
In the Generation I Pokémon games, the moves Toxic and Leech Seed were bugged in such a way that the damage from BOTH of these moves would increase whenever either of them dealt damage to an opposing Pokémon.
Essentially, Pokemon affected by Toxic would become "badly poisoned" and suffer 1/16 of their Maximum HP in damage on the first turn, then 2/16 on the next turn, then 3/16 and so on.
A Pokemon "seeded" by Leech Seed would suffer 1/16 of their maximum HP in damage, and the opposing Pokémon would be healed by the same numerical amount.
However, if a Pokemon was affected by both Toxic and Leech Seed simultaneously, that Pokemon would suffer (1+N) x (1/16 of Max HP) where N = the number of times that Pokemon was damaged by Toxic OR Leech Seed that battle.
In other words, the damage dealt by Toxic or Leech Seed would increase by 1/16 of the Pokémon's max HP every time either of them hit. The amount of HP absorbed by Leech Seed would scale accordingly as well.
