Wrong Glitch Worked That Day
1,043I was trying to do the infinite time glitch in Super Mario World when I got a completely different glitch to work instead. And I was softlocked!
Seems like if Yoshi somehow is able to eat a berry after Mario dies, the game will freeze in a strange way. I was still able to make Mario and Yoshi stand or crouch while otherwise completely frozen in the air.
I ran out of time while Yoshi's tongue was extended, then when both Mario and Yoshi popped up into the air (which is often what happens when Mario dies) Yoshi's face came in contact with a red berry.
This happened during my Super Mario World live stream on SNES Classic -
