Super Star Wars by Lucasart/JVC on the SNES was a Star Wars fan dream come true. No other game based on a movie generated so much excitement than Atari's Star Wars arcade game. Super Star Wars was based on Episode IV - A New Hope and it not only let players become Luke Skywaker but also fan faves Han Solo and Chewbaka later in the game. The gameplay was full of enemy blasting, plattforming and vehicle driving sections that used the famous SNES mode-7 graphics. Needless to say, Super Star Wars was an instant hit on the SNES. Later Lucasart also made excellent adaptation with Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi based on the gameplay of this game.
