I set the lives up 1 because of the hammer throw event. I found it extremely random that I would pass the event. To beat the game you have to qualify in all of the events. For the high jump event you have to clear the third height of 2 meter 35 I believe. If you clear that you beat the game and it loops. If you lose a life it just bypasses that event. I didnt complete the hammer throw until the second loop in this playthrough.
