Train Simulator 2018 - ATW Class 153 Sprinter leaving Cardiff Bay
153320 gets underway from the aforementioned station, with the shuttle service to Cardiff Queen Street.
The Cardiff Bay line opened in 1840, with the station opening in 1844, under the name Cardiff Bute Dock. The station was re-named Cardiff Docks in 1845. 79 years later - in 1924 - the station was re-named again, this time to Cardiff Bute Road. The station kept this name until 1994, when it was re-named Cardiff Bay.
The line is currently served only by a shuttle service between Cardiff Queen Street and Cardiff Bay. Up until 2013, this service was worked by a Class 121 'Bubble Car' (a design that dates back to 1960). This unit was withdrawn in 2013, and replaced by the Class 153's.
