Nope dummy! Where did you get that answer and how are you able to continue to mouth-breathe with only enough IQ to grow a testicle wart? It's about robots that turn into cars and cars that turn into robots that turn into exciting animated fun. I mean just look at this mid-80s casting. With the exception of Judd Nelson (who's only other well-known character happened to be the name of that lovable bastard Bender from Futurama) this voice casting is awesome and inspired. Leonard 'Seaman' Nimoy, Micro-machines fast talking guy, Casey 'Shaggy' Kasem, Weird 'Weird Al' Al Yankovic, the black dude from 'The Shining', Robert "Captain Rex Kramer" Stack, Eric 'ugh, British Humour' Idle, Clive 'Original Star Wars: ESB Emperor with pink eye" Revill, Orson 'Unicron Variant' Welles and Welker's devil voice.
The jaded and sarcastic people today and yesterday spouted that it was nothing more than a 90 minute toy commercial. Exactly morons, in that age of capitalism it fucking worked and well. As a kid a 90-minute toy commercial was preferential to everything but the Nintendo Entertainment System.
While I'd like to talk about it's obvious (now) association with the pan-trans-gender debacle in our society. I'll save that for when I can enjoy a little extra leg room on a site more it's speed. Hint though... notice nobody dead-named Rodimus Prime...? Think about it.
