Used on the game's launch party on the USS Hornet, the 5171 build of Atari Melbourne House's Transformers features lots of level geometry, enemy/item placement, and a bunch of other minor differences from the final build of the game. Unicron seems to have *just* been added to the game, and the "Betwixt" feature used to smooth out player animations is completely missing. There's even a 41st Mini-Con which was removed from the final game!

This playthrough sees me play through the game on the "Rookie" difficulty, which would be renamed to "Recruit" in the final build. I collect every Mini-Con and Data-Con while trying to show off some (but not all) of the differences I know about. A single game crash was cut from the video (with little attempt to hide the crash). It should be worth noting that I'm a speedrunner for this game, and I make no attempt to hide that fact throughout the playthrough by taking full advantage of this game's physics quirks and glitches wherever possible :P

Note: Most FMVs are skipped for the sake of saving a bit of my time, if you'd like to watch those, check out this playlist by @MttaM93:

Recording info:
This playthrough was recorded using the RetroTINK 5X Pro fed into the Elgato Game Capture HD60. The RetroTINK was set to 1080p (under), HiRes 858 optimal sampling, resized to 4:3 aspect ratio, and no low-pass filter (due to me using HD Retrovision component cables). 4:3 was chosen over 16:9 for added clarity from optimal sampling, though this game does support true widescreen (albeit with a stretched HUD). Triple Buffering was engaged due to a quirk in the game's loading screens that switches the resolution to 240p for a single frame. Other settings were left as default.
