Cybertron and its people become isolationists. Creating a functionalist political dark age. Where form determines function and caste.
Megatron and many others seek to destroy the new system but once again split. Creating the autobots and decepticons.
As the war spreaded and destroyed cybertron, it would go to the colony worlds after space bridges were re-established.
A few worlds are left destroyed and new ones are discovered like Earth and Delphi. The war took place mainly on earth, with cybertronians neutral fleeting to other colony worlds or eventually joining a side. Eventually the autobots won the war in the 80s. With Megatron self exiling for his atrocities and Optimus disappearing into deep space to train for a greater darkness looming. A few years of peace leading to present time. Cybertron was restored. But the people riot once more. The decepticons are back.
