Long before they came to earth, the Autobots and Decepticons were locked in a eternal struggle against each other in the War for Cybertron. We follow both factions as Megatron hatches a plan that may bring the war to an end. In this volume, Megatron leads an assault team onto a research station orbitiing Cybertron to access the dangerous Dark Energon. The trio of Decepticons fight through Starscreams forces and seize control of the Dark Energon manufacturing plant. Starscream betrays his partners and joins the Decepticons, to prove himself he reactivates an Energon Bridge and Breakdown leads the charge on an assault on Iacon City.
