When hiking up Tangkuban perahu to get to Kawah Ratu, you have the option of going down the Jungle Trail. This is the path through the woodlands, the trees and nature. About half way through we found an alternative route to the alternative route.

Tangkuban perahu is an active volcano near Bandung. Bandung is a city on the island of Java in Indonesia. The most prominent crater, Kawah Ratu, was thought to be no longer active until 2013, when it erupted. A further eruption came in 2015. At present the crater is dormant, but lets off fumes. The crater and surrounding area smell heavily of sulphur.
