Reaching the tree of life, saying a goodbye, and returning with the waters. Sad story, really, but a well-done game.
Don't forget to show me the love by liking this vid! :)
With initial releases by 505 Games between August 7, 2013, and January 28, 2014, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is a story-driven puzzle-platformer adventure game. Starbreeze Studios (makers of Payday 2 and Payday 2: Crimewave Edition) designed the game as a third-person, slightly elevated view of two brothers on a mission to save their dying father. The siblings had previously lost their mother to drowning and now they set off to the Tree of Life to gather its ever-important waters. Through villages, hills, and mountains, they proceed on their journey, confronting dangers and helping strangers as they seek to return with the water in time.
Keyboard play on the PC (XBox controller support is available) is accomplished with W, A, S, and D for the older brother, with Space to interact; the younger brother is controlled simultaneously with arrow keys and Right Ctrl for interaction. Additionally Left and Right Shift keys rotate the camera for better views (including scenery). The game includes puzzles like running on a large wheel to lower a bridge so another brother can cross, or boosting the younger brother who then lowers a rope for the older brother to climb. Enemies range from bullies to wolves, and friends can be other villagers or even trolls.
Will the brothers reach the Tree of Life in safety, gather its precious waters, and return to their dying father before it's too late? Let's stream Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons and try!
