Trials of Mana | Boss: Malocchio (Hard mode)
0MALOCCHIO'S STRATEGY:
- Resurrection: summons a Wolfiend and a Queen Succube to help him out. You've been fighting these enemies throughout the area so you shouldn't really have an issue with them. They are higher level than Malocchio himself, but much weaker haha.
- Psychic Blast: he charges up the attack and it affects a large radius. The attack pulls all the characters towards the center of the area of effect and then explodes and sends everyone flying away. The attack has to charge up and you can see the circle on the ground filling up, making it easy for you to dodge out of the way. It does hit pretty hard so be careful.
- Ghoster: he usually does this attack once his HP drops below 50%. He floats up in the air and 3 Ghosts will appear under him, moving around in circles. You want to kill these Ghosts as fast as you can because once they stop spinning, Malocchio will "eat" them up and recover HP, and a lot of it. Make sure to focus on one at a time because he eats them fast. Each Ghost heals him 4,800 HP, so that's 9,600 if he eats 2 and 14,400 if he eats all 3. It also gives him buffs like Attack and Defense Up, so you HAVE to kill these ghosts.
- Annihilate: he does this attack right after the previous one. He teleports back down to the ground, but as he does he envelops your characters with a black cloud and deals damage to them. It does around 200 HP to them all so make sure to heal if you need it. As you see the black cloud forming around you, dodge roll out of the way. It's hard to dodge it, but very possible.
- Batmo Drain: he attacks anything right in front of him and once he charges up his attack, he dashes forward, attacking everyone in range and sucking up all the damage he did as his own HP. This is another attack that can easily be dodge, so stay on his sides or behind him.
Armor Repair: He adds a shield icon making it harder to deal damage. You need to use a couple of charged attacks in order to destroy it (you can see the shield icon to the right of his health bar).
- Evil Gate +: Dark magic that does high damage to a circular area.
- Evil Rain: The area of attack of this spell is right underneath a character and will follow them around while it's being casted. As it starts, you can dodge out of it but it'll continue to follow you. It's easy to outrun it so stay moving!
