3I considered the first time someone sent me a product review code a fluke - A sheer numbers game that had finally rolled over in my favor - But after this one came in? Maybe there's something to it...
Axe, Bow and Staff is a fun, quirkly little game that draws inspiration from some SNES and arcade classics like Lost Vikings, Adventure Island and Cadillacs & Dinosaurs (The game, NOT the cartoon) and mannnnn is it ever fun! Once you've learned each character's abilities you'll be tasked with controlling them simultaneously and it's a lot easier then it sounds - But you do still have the option of bringing in a few friends along for the ride!
Apologies now for the issues regarding the audio - Somehow it just did NOT record - I've done my best to conceal the issue while still including audio from the game, but I had such a genuinely good time playing this I didn't want to re-record and lose my "first impressions" take on it.
