We dug up some old reports from 1977 where an Army Major was talking smack against the M-14 to the Department of Defense. We've only switched main battle rifles a few times. The M-14 had a short-lived run when it replaced the M-1 Garand after the Korean War but it's still managed to stick around forever since then. Find out exactly what happened and why!

Army and Marines use the rifle today in designated marksman and sniper roles. The military has a hard time parting with ex weapons it seems they might need a restraining order against the M-14 because it keeps coming back.

We try to present a light-hearted humorous and entertaining look at history and weapons systems.
