TRTF 2 CN: Melancholia [10/20 HM All Challenges] Complete
11how in the hell do i even put into words what a genuinely terrible, god awful, and horrendous all max mode this is.
whenever i beat lonely menace i technically did say i wouldnt go for melancholia, but 6 months later i ended up trying it. whenever i got some decent runs it came to me that i could actually beat it, and then i heavily locked in. good god, is this mode truly something.
this mode is EXTREMELY bad and i dont care what anyone else has to say. combined with the already bad hard mode changes and rng from lonely menace, the challenges quite literally do nothing but make the game even worse. faulty generator js makes the generator go down faster but wind up faster, thats fine as is cus youre gonna be checking cam 1B a LOT for foxy and theres still some free time to get the generator. asthmatic cuts the toxic meter to half, this one is generally okay, the only real reason it can suck is because the toxic wont go down on cams (VERY poor balancing right there) but its decent otherwise. now, we have rechargeable light. if you saw my ssp completion youll know that i flick my mouse left & right constantly to keep mascot pnm at bay. here, you have to flick your mouse left & right to the very edge of the screen, recharging your battery in the process. so this is essentially just a bootleg m pnm mechanic and executed 10x worse, along with making certain tasks way harder while flicking (ex. winding the music box or generator, getting foxy, stuff like that).
the balancing issues from lonely menace also still remain unfortunately, this mode is really rng and its unfortunate how the game was executed cus with better balancing & not as horrendous mechanics this couldve been a good recode of trtf 2, but nope.
so yeah, with all that said, this is the WORST trtf mode ever made and i would absolutely NOT recommend playing it.
