The funny thing is, I've never played Sonic Advance 1 or 2. Ordinarily, I'd just say some things about how Four/Infinite Kings made me make a non-direct import version of this track but there is a mild story to tell. See, when I was a kid, I didn't know about emulation at all. All I knew is that the local game store in my area of Lantau Island somehow sold R4s, with one of them having been given as a complimentary gift with my DS. I'm a little shocked they got away with that, in hindsight, but I appreciated it a LOT because it got me into games like NSMBDS, Pokemon Ranger, Nintendogs and Sonic Rush.
Occassionally, I would go with my family to Yat Tung to buy some groceries, and I always remembered one toy shop having some promotional material in Chinese for various GBA games, including Sonic Advance. Partially since I was coming off the high of Sonic Rush, I always wanted to play Sonic Advance and always hoped they'd have it for sale. Alas, they never did. I since have never quite gotten around to it for some reason...
