True Crime: Streets Of LA Walkthrough Part 4: Russian Face-Off
Following the events in the Krym Spa, Nick returns to EOD headquarters to find Parks talking to an FBI agent named Masterson, learning that his violent actions in the spa ruined FBI's own weeks-long investigation of the building and its connection to the Russian mob. Despite Masterson coming to consider Nick extremely dangerous due to his violent and unpredictable nature, Parks persuades him to allow Nick to continue the investigation, especially as he reveals that he managed to take the picture of mysterious Russian known as Rocky and plans to take the photo to his contact in Venice Beach in order to verify the man's identity and move the investigation along. As he leaves, Rosie continues the discussion about Nick's past with Parks, learning that once Nick's father disappeared, him and Cary were sent off to live with their next-of-kin in Hong Kong, China where they spent the remainder of their childhoods enduring abuse and harassment from their peers due to their mixed descent before eventually returning to Los Angeles as adults with Nick opting to join LAPD while Cary became a martial arts instructor. Meanwhile, Nick reaches his contact; A mechanic and arms dealer named Francis and interrogates him within his own car garage about Rocky only to be interrupted as Francis' associates enter the garage, forcing Nick to fight them off with Francis trying to escape in the confusion. However, Nick quickly catches up to him and brings him back to EOD's headquarters where Francis admits that he doesn't really know anything about Rocky as he hadn't done any business with him but tells Nick that he can be found at the nightclub called Gulag Club on Sunset Boulevard. With this information, Nick heads towards the club. Upon arriving, he sees one of the local police detectives leaving the club and infiltrates the establishment via its back alleyway only to be fired upon by the club staff almost immediately, thus forcing him to fight his way into the club's back office where he directly confronts Rocky. During their confrontation, Rocky directly admits that the Traid has been laundering money for his own syndicate since he himself is involved in money counterfeiting. In order to force Nick to stop investigating him and the Triads, Rocky reveals that his men have been sent to Cary's dojo on San Pedro Avenue and are attacking him, proving his point by letting Nick hear Cary's panicked attempts to fend off the intruders via phone. Enraged, Nick leaves the nightclub and races to Cary's dojo in order to help him. However, as he arrives, Nick finds the dojo ransacked with Cary nowhere to be found. He also finds the dojo populated by three looters who tell Nick that Cary has been taken away by "oriental guys". Realizing that Cary has been kidnapped by the Triads working for Rocky and his Russians and enraged by the looters' disrespect towards his brother's property, Nick engages them in an fight in order to subdue them...
