With more arcade shooters comes more huge difficulty!
Moon Patrol is surprisingly addicting. It's so simple and the challenge isn't too tough, like most of the other games, so I would call this one a hidden gem.
Lightning Swords is an extremely difficult game (like R-Type) but it's something different and not just a shooter which I can definitely appreciate. The controls are a little wonky and definitely take some time to get used to, as it's not controlled like really any other game I played before. xD
R-Type is a genre-inspiring game. It influences so much of later shooters. But it's also hard as heck! It's fun with good music, I just wish it wasn't so hard from the get-go! So while I can appreciate this game's influence and legacy, it's hard for me to find a lot of actual fun when playing, if that makes sense?
When games get too-too hard, it becomes more of a chore than fun for me. And I think this cart (and Toaplan's shooters, too) shows that. Still, I do like the cart for what it is, and there is still a lot of enjoyment to be had! :)
