Oh boy, it was as bad as I had feared.
Metal Slug isn't that bad, for what it's worth. But it feels really generic to me, and has nothing about it that intrigues me or wants me to come back to it. Disappointing.
Shock Troopers...I'll admit, I learned to use the dodge roll way too late. That's on me. But even still, it just seems way too difficult to actually manage. I'd much prefer playing XenoCrisis - which this reminds me of greatly - over this.
The King of Fighters 2000 is a tournament fighter. I hate tournament fighters; I don't enjoy them, and they are extremely unfun to me. This game was a dud for me going it. At least I can say it is very responsive for what it is, and I bet this is really fun for people who like tournament fighters. Unfortunately, I do not. :/
Overall, a very lackluster cart for me personally. I do not have high hopes for NEOGEO Arcade 2 or 3, especially 2 (at least 3 will have Twinkle Star Sprites).
We'll just have to see how those go when I get them...
