Trying to build the perfect VGC team
0The team we have made is a strange Kartana offense with Gastrodon as a safety net against Kyogres and Zacians, which has worked too many times.
Regieleki's electroweb is the support i need for Kartana to kill Calyrex-S, as well as for my own Calyrex-S. Calyrex-S's job is to spread burns to Groudon, Zacian and Thundurus and to astral barrage Mimikyus after Regieleki breaks disguise. My own Zacian is a wallbreaker that bullies Incineroars with Sacred Sword alongside Kartana, and Thundurus is the ultimate incineroar punisher and Kyogre killer. The team has done well and everything covers everybody else decently at least to some degree. The main issue i see with it is the lack of coverage for Dialga, Ferrothorn etc. I was oblivious to this mainly because to me, Kartana was the best and seemingly most common steel type, which Thundurus, Calyrex-S and maybe even Regieleki could handle. I suggest if you want to use the team for yourselves, have more than two Sacred sword that die to Dialga and Gastrodon's semi-weak earth power.
