3I bought the Samsung S10 Ultra hoping to use it for learning and recording music with my digital piano. After hours of testing—including a brand new MIDI cable, trying both DeX and standard modes, and installing multiple apps—I still couldn’t get reliable MIDI support outside of one app.
The USB MIDI Connect app recognized the piano and could even route sound from the tablet to the piano’s speakers, but other key apps like Cubasis, Simply Piano, YouTube, and YouTube Music didn’t work with the setup.
This video is an informal walkthrough of what I tried and what didn’t work—shared in case it saves someone else the time and frustration.
