It's about time I've done this huh? Soldier Blade is one of my favourite games ever made! And it has one of my favourite soundtracks too!

So I took the Stage 1 theme and ported it over to the Game Boy to the best of my abilities.
As usual I've used the wavetable channel for the main melody, Pulse channel 1 for the bass, Pulse channel 2 for the harmonic support and White Noise for the drums... But then I realized something: What if I made 2 variations of the bass instrument, and added a quick kick drum sound to the beginning of one of them, and a quick tom sound to the beginning of the other one, and then replaced some of the bass notes in the pulse channel 1 with the kick bass and the tom bass as they were necessary? I tried it, and this song shows my results.

As you can hear, the kick bass and the tom bass added a very welcome punch to the otherwise plain white noise drums, without much of a loss on the bass' part! This almost makes the Game Boy sound like it has more channels than it actually has!

I hope you like what you hear, I've had a LOT of fun making this! I'm LOVING pushing the limits of the Game Boy like this, it really makes the system sound a lot more advanced than what we were used to!
