The Purgator 1 is a high damage slug rifle added in Techrot Encore that makes enemies killed directly (not by status procs) by the weapon spawn a high damage gas damage cloud that acts as a trap for other enemies who get near.

It can be enhanced by several abilities and synergies to one shot enemies who enter the clouds under the right conditions. While a bit finicky, it's still powerful.
