Turok 2 : Seeds of Evil - 100% Walkthrough Guide, 'HARD DIFFICULTY NO AUTO-AIM', Level 3 Part 1
Turok 2, one of the most original blood-thirsty shoot 'em-ups ever released on any platform! Played on an original N64 (PAL) cartridge this Level 3 The Death Marshes Part 1/4 of a campaign on the hardest difficulty setting with no auto-aim used plus with the Expansion Pak used for better graphics and tougher enemy A.I as you'll see! There's heavy bloodshed in every segment!
These uploads aren't designed to show any speed or prowess for the game, but for enjoyment, nostalgia, to show that the game is completable even on the hardest setting, and help out any other Turok'ing fans out there who may be stuck somewhere.
This will prove an invaluable guide to anyone (first-time novices or semi-experienced players) stuck on ANY part of the game as 100% gets completed using various tactics such as sniping, circle-strafing round corners and enemies, and knowing the locations of all the weapons and mission objectives.
Every Sacred Eagle Feather/Talismans and Nuke Pieces from the Flesh Portals are collected too. So the game is 100% completed.
The walkthrough is segmented for a few reasons, and has been done from save-point to save-point basis in every level. For the hardcore/speedrunning players out there the first 2 or 3 levels this may seem pointless but as all retro gamers will know well, N64's have a tendency to freeze especially when a high data load is being processed. Mine froze too many times during recordings so I decided to start over and segment them. They are uncut recordings too and all follow on EXACTLY from the location the previous one ended. Segmenting also makes upload times a lot quicker for me too
So, for both ease of viewing between each save point and allowing me time to get a drink between the save-points, I hope this will help any players stuck view a specific part.
Covered in Level 3 Part 1 - Starting at the beginning near the toxic water and trying not to fall of the edges and die whilst collecting all the possible pickups and encountering the brutal Purr-Linn and making my way to save point no.1
Weapons - Talon, Bow, Pistol, Shotgun, Tek Bow, I get the Mag 60 pistol upgrade which is VERY effective on the hulk-sized enemies firing a 3-shot burst with a very high velocity, and the AWESOME Shredder - the shotgun upgrade which fires extremely powerful energy rounds that ricochet or explode depending on the ammo used (it uses shotgun ammo and like the Mag 60 which uses pistol bullets, you can toggle between your choice weapon with ease! Note that getting the Shredder now makes level 2 much easier and there are almost no enemies in the game that the Shredder won't shred!
2x Level 5 Keys collected
Objectives completed in this clip - The first of 5 prisoners are rescued and the first of the 3 Ammo Dumps are destroyed.
As you can see the enemies and weapons are getting much more powerful and this level has 2 more awesome new weapons too that can be accessed easily. This is one of my favourite levels in the game and it's actually the shortest one too. But I fall prey to the toxic soup by accident somewhere before the end of the level! ;)
I complete the rest of the game in this order - Level 3, Level 2 and collect the Primagen Key so the level is only visited once, Level 5, Level 4 and collect the Primagen Key so the level is only visited once, Level 6 and collect the Primagen Key, then go and collect the Level 5 Primagen Key, Level 3 Primagen Key then finally re-visit Level 1 and get that Primagen key and HOPEFULLY have 9 lives and 200 health at the end of it!
I haven't played a new campaign in about 4-5 months so I wasn't rushing anything, I hope you enjoy it, happy Turok'ing everyone :)
