In the town of Glen Cove, its city mayor, Thomas R. Suozzi, with the help of Acclaim Interactive Marketing VP Steven Lux, renamed the town's Pulaski Street as "Turok Boulevard" to celebrate the release of Turok: Dinosaur Hunter.

The event took place a week before the official launch of Dinosaur Hunter, which was released on March 4, 1997.

This particular date was dubbed "Turok Tuesday" by the town's residents.
By the end of March 1997, "Turok Boulevard" would return to its original name, "Pulaski Street," as agreed by the town mayor and Acclaim's marketing VP.
