Thanks to rafalh's vmesh, importing and animating skeletal meshes for Red Faction is now possible (experimental) without needing to use 3Ds Max from nearly 20 years ago. rafalh's tool enables Red Faction mod developers to convert from the GLTF common file format directly to Red Faction V3C (skeletal mesh) and RFA (animation) files.

This is a quick video tutorial showing how to set up a very basic compatible character rig, create a basic animation, run them through vmesh, and view them in Red Faction.

NOTE: Both vmesh (used in this tutorial) and v3m-converter (referenced in this tutorial) are in beta, and accessible in the #workshop channel on the FactionFiles Discord Server. You can join here: https://discord.gg/factionfiles
