TV Aratu is a Brazilian television station based in Salvador, the capital of the state of Bahia. Founded on 15th March 1969, it is the second oldest television station in Bahia, after the then TV Itapoan (channel 5, founded in 1960), and the third most watched in Salvador after the metropolitan region.

In 1973, it became the first Bahian television station to broadcast in color.

TV Aratu operates on channel 4 (25 UHF digital) and is affiliated with SBT since 1997. It was previously affiliated with TV Globo (Rede Globo, 1969-87), Rede Manchete (1987-95), and CNT (1995-97).

Special credit to users including @brunoch1987, @MADBATV, @nevestancredo, among others credited at the end, whose hard work at
archiving the footage is greatly appreciated.

My next video will be a logo history on KQED, my first PBS affiliate history in almost two years!

This video was released for educational purposes only. I have given credit to the original creators/capturers of the logos/idents featured in the end credits of this video. No monetization is made off this channel.
